MAPLE LEAFS SIGN LUCA BOSCARINO

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@mapleleafsbaseball) have signed Catcher Luca Boscarino for the 2025 season.

Boscarino, a Mississauga native, made his IBL debut with the Maple Leafs in 2022 and appeared in 21 games, hitting .241 over 83 At-Bats with 1 HR and 11 RBI. He’s appeared with Connors State College (NJCAA), University of Incarnate Word (NCAA), and Reinhardt University (NAIA) with an additional stop in Wenatchee (WCL). Last summer, Boscarino hit .288 with the Applesox, and is currently playing with the Reinhardt Eagles.

“We’re really happy that Luca’s returning, he knows the team, the field, how we want to play - his defensive diversity, as well as the growth he’s shown with the bat, is a big reason as to why we’re looking forward to seeing him at Christie this summer,” said the club.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
