MAPLE LEAFS RE-SIGN JUSTIN MARRA

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@mapleleafsbaseball) have re-signed Catcher Justin Marra for the upcoming 2025 season.

Marra, a seven-time All-Star, will enter his ninth season with the Maple Leafs behind the plate this summer. He sat second on the team in 2024 with 7 HR, fourth in RBI with 25, and third in BB with 26 during the regular season, before going 6-10 with 3 HR, 6 RBI, and 5 BB over three postseason games. Justin ranks 13th all-time in IBL home runs.

“Justin’s our guy, he’s proven time and time again to be one of the best catchers the IBL has ever seen, and we’re ecstatic to have him back for another season. His gamecalling is great, his defense is fantastic, and we saw - right into the playoffs last year - that he continues to have some serious pop in his bat. As a vet, he will be really important in working with our younger players as they continue to develop and improve,” said the club.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
