MAPLE LEAFS RE-SIGN DAN MARRA
TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@mapleleafsbaseball) have re-signed Infielder Dan Marra for the upcoming 2025 season.
Marra, who made his IBL debut in 2011, will enter his fifteenth year with the Maple Leafs this summer after appearing in 35 regular season games in 2024 - the most he’s registered since 2014, and second-most in his career. A lifetime .290 hitter, Marra is currently the longest-tenured Maple Leaf on the club’s active roster. In 2023, he was selected as an All-IBL Second Team All-Star after hitting .331 across 33 regular season games while driving in 20 runs alongside 9 doubles, 22 walks, and 8 stolen bases.
“Much like Justin, Dan’s a smart, veteran guy who’s shown great consistency over much of his career. He’s seen how great this team can be when we play at our best, and can provide a whole lot of experience. We’re very lucky to have guys like Dan, Justin, Dustin and others, who are all veterans that can work with and develop our younger players,” said the club.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
