MAPLE LEAFS RE-SIGN CONNOR LEWIS

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@mapleleafsbaseball) have re-signed Outfielder Connor Lewis for the upcoming 2025 season.

Lewis, who will enter his tenth season with the club this summer, posted a career-high in regular season games in 2024, while also posting his highest HR total since 2016. Since entering the league a decade ago, Lewis has hit .279 with 11 HR and 122 RBI over 266 games with 40 doubles and 6 triples. His walk-off homer on August 11th helped propel Toronto into the playoffs, one of multiple Leaf walk-offs on the year.

“Connor’s been excellent for us ever since he debuted, we know exactly what we’ll get in the outfield and last season reminded us of how much power he has in that bat. Everyone on the team loves him, the fans love him, he’s a great presence to be around on top of being an outstanding ballplayer for us,” said the club.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
