SPENSER ROSS JOINS MAPLE LEAFS
TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@mapleleafsbaseball) have signed Infielder Spenser Ross for the 2025 season.
Ross, a native of Mississauga, made his IBL debut in 2024 with Kitchener and hit .310 across 33 games with 12 RBI during the 2024 regular season. After spending four years with the Lawrence Vikings in the NCAA’s Midwest Conference, Ross returned to Canada to play in the IBL and continued playing into the fall with the University of Toronto Varsity Blues. Last season, he was selected to the Second Team All-IBL as a second baseman.
“His speed and quickness, along with his bat-to-ball skills, is what makes Spenser a very enticing player for us. Rob knows him well, too, and we are very excited to see him take the field for us this year,” said the club.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
